What is the job about?

We are looking for two Technical Writers to join our office in Zagreb: one in a senior role and one colleague who may be earlier in their career. Both roles will support our growing power converter business, while also contributing to documentation for other DEIF products as needed.

As a Technical Writer, you will be based in Zagreb and become part of a highly skilled Technical Writing team with colleagues primarily located in Denmark. Working across locations will therefore be a natural part of the role, and close collaboration, knowledge sharing, and flexibility are important to how the team works. Together, you will create clear, user-friendly documentation, write new user guides, update existing materials, and ensure that our documentation meets DEIF’s standards for language, layout, and terminology.

Tasks are shared across the team rather than divided by location, allowing us to support each other and move work to where it creates the most value. With strong momentum in our hardware development, you will work closely with engineers and other technical specialists, ask clear and sometimes challenging questions, and help keep documentation deliverables visible and on track. You will also help us strengthen the way we use AI and visual formats to improve the quality and accessibility of our documentation.

Your tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop user manuals, operator guides, and installation instructions for new DEIF products
- Analyse user needs to ensure our documentation provides the right information for successful product installation and operation
- Create and use diagrams, images, video concepts, and other visual elements when they make the content easier to understand
- Ensure all materials adhere to DEIF’s language, layout, and terminology standards
- Update and maintain existing documentation
- Explore how AI can support and improve our documentation work

For the more experienced position, you will have an opportunity to help shape and establish the documentation process for the power converter area.

Uvjeti:
What you’ll bring

A solid technical understanding is essential in both roles. You may have an engineering background, experience with complex technical systems, or practical knowledge from a technical environment. Knowledge of power converters is an advantage, but it is not a requirement if you are curious, able to learn, and comfortable navigating technical complexity.

Our power converter business is a new and developing area at DEIF, so not everything will be fully defined or structured from the beginning. You should enjoy being part of something that is taking shape, be comfortable with changing priorities, and have the drive to move things forward even when the path is not always clear.

You communicate clearly and can turn technical information into structured, easy-to-understand documentation. Most importantly, you are open, curious, and willing to learn and adapt as the products and the organisation around them develop.

Knowledge of product safety and relevant standards would be an advantage, particularly when working with power converters.
