Senior Accountant (m/f)

        Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant (m/f) to take full ownership of the accounting and statutory compliance of our Croatian entity. In addition, the role provides operational accounting support for our Serbian and Luxembourg entities under the guidance of the Accounting Supervisor. 

What Will You Do?
Full Statutory Accounting for Croatia:
- End-to-End Bookkeeping: Complete management of the General Ledger and financial records
- Payroll & Taxes: Full calculation of salaries, benefits, and submission of all payroll-related tax returns
- Tax Compliance: Preparation and filing of VAT, CIT, and all other local statutory obligations
- Year-end Closing: Preparation and submission of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with the Croatian Law
- Regulatory Implementation: Continuous monitoring and application of Croatian accounting and tax legislation

Operational Support for Serbia (Under Supervision):
- Payroll Execution: Processing monthly payroll for 25+ employees based on instructions and templates provided by the Supervisor
- VAT Preparation: Performing monthly VAT calculations and preparing documentation for review
- Data Entry: Accurate posting of all business transactions for the Serbian entity

Bookkeeping for Luxembourg (Under Supervision):
- General Ledger Maintenance: Accurate recording of all transactions and business changes for the Luxembourg office
- Internal Reporting: Preparation of internal reports and reconciliations for group purposes

Other responsibilities: 
- Liaising with external auditors and assisting the Accounting Supervisor in the yearly external audit process, ensuring timely completion
- Maintaining professional relationships with banks, suppliers, clients and external stakeholders

Uvjeti:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of handling full-cycle accounting and final accounts in Croatia. Experience in tax compliance is a must
- Expertise in Croatian GAAP and Tax Law. Strong Excel skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a strong plus
- Excellent command of the English and Croatian languages (both written and spoken)
- Ability to work autonomously on Croatian tasks while being a diligent executor for international entities under supervision
