Role Overview
As our Procurement & Logistics Manager, you will be the backbone of our hardware operations. You’ll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our physical assets—from scouting the best vendors and verifying technical specs with our engineers to navigating the labyrinth of international customs to ensure gear arrives on time. We need a proactive problem-solver who can keep our data organized and our global deployments running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
Vendor Relations:
• Act as the primary point of contact for hardware vendors; maintain existing relationships and aggressively scout new partners to ensure supply chain diversity.
Cost Optimization:
• Constantly seek out cost-saving opportunities, volume discounts, and alternative hardware options without compromising quality.
Hardware Scouting:
• Locate hard-to-find components or legacy hardware during shortages to keep our teams operational.
2.Technical Liaison
Spec Verification:
• Collaborate closely with our Deployment and Support teams to ensure all sourced hardware meets exact technical requirements and compatibility standards.
Lifecycle Management:
• Monitor hardware trends to advise the team on upcoming "End of Life" (EOL) products and suggest modern replacements.
3.Global Logistics & International Shipping
• Carrier Management:
• Manage high-volume shipping accounts with DHL, FedEx, and UPS,
• ensuring we are getting the best rates and service levels.
Customs & Compliance:
• Navigate the complexities of international trade, including HS codes, duties, taxes, and required documentation for seamless customs clearance.
Troubleshooting:
• Take the lead on "rescue missions" for delayed or stuck shipments, working directly with agents to resolve delivery bottlenecks.
4.Data & Inventory Integrity
Order Tracking:
• Maintain a real-time tracking dashboard for all open orders, providing stakeholders with accurate ETAs.
Records Management:
• Keep meticulous digital records of invoices, warranties, and shipping logs to ensure data is organized and audit-ready.
Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:
• 5+ years in procurement or logistics, specifically within the technology or hardware sector.
International Expertise:
• Proven track record of shipping goods globally and a deep understanding of international customs regulations.
Technical Literacy:
• Comfortable discussing hardware specs (RAM, CPU, storage types, networking gear) with engineers.
Software Proficiency:
• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP or Inventory Management software is a major plus.
The "Hustle" Factor:
• A proactive mindset—you don’t just wait for a tracking update to change; you call the warehouse to find out why it hasn't.
• Degree in relevant field
• Fluent in English (C2 level)
• Good organizational abilities, responsible and self-motivated

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple complex & confidential tasks
