Intern Sales Clerk

        Blackthorne d.o.o Sarajevo is looking for 2x new people for the position of full time Intern Sales Clerk to create quotations and coordinate shipments for the effective distribution of goods internationally.

A great asset for this role is good communication (in English) and negotiation skills as well as good knowledge of basic mathematics to prepare quotations. The ideal candidate will have a great customer-oriented approach and problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction:
• Respond to inquiries from existing and potential clients regarding freight forwarding services.
• Provide information on shipping rates, transit times, and other relevant details.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.

2. Sales Support:
• Prepare and send quotations to clients.
• Process sales orders and ensure accurate entry of data into the system.
• Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate shipments based on customer requirements.

3. Documentation:
• Prepare and organize shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Ensure all documentation complies with international shipping regulations.
• Keep logs and records of the quotations, shipments, executed orders etc.
• Prepare accurate reports in excel for upper management
• Regularly update database contacts and make sure all new contacts are included in the database (data on clients, partners and suppliers)
• Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively

4. Coordination with Internal Teams:
• Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure the timely and efficient movement of freight.
• Collaborate with colleagues to resolve any issues related to shipments or customer inquiries. 
• Coordinate logistics suppliers (e.g. transport companies, customs broker, truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
• Communicate with suppliers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
• Assist on company’s activities

What we are looking for:
• Recent graduates, looking to start of their business career (preferably management, economics, communications, mathematics, supply chain management or any relevant field). Other applicants with different levels of education and experience are not excluded.
• Be available 8 hours for work from the office (9:00 to 17:30) Monday to Friday in Sarajevo ( Radon Plaza Hotel, Nedzarici,)
• Professional level of written and oral English (majority of work is done in English) and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian
• Eager to learn and grow with the company
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes after receiving proper training
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to quickly acclimate, integrate and work with new logistics software platform
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What we offer?
• Starting internship net earnings per month of about 1370 BAM (inclusive of transport/add-ons set by law) - 6 months trial, with plans for permanent employment after 6-month review.
• Ability to get practical experience in an international company and working with big name brands like Google, Meta, VISA etc.
