Infrastructure Construction & Design Manager (m/f)

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Construction & Design Manager who will play a key role in the planning, design, permitting, and execution of complex infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for a highly motivated civil engineering professional with strong technical expertise, project management skills, and experience working with public authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.

Job Description:
• Manage and coordinate the preparation of technical documentation required for obtaining urban planning approvals and construction permits for infrastructure projects.
• Communicate and coordinate with municipal, cantonal, and entity authorities, utility companies, and other relevant stakeholders regarding technical and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate final technical documentation necessary for technical inspections and obtaining usage permits.
• Develop, review, and supervise conceptual, main, and detailed project designs for infrastructure and construction projects.
• Coordinate civil engineering designs with other project disciplines to ensure technical alignment and successful project implementation.
• Manage and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring quality standards, compliance with project documentation, and adherence to project timelines.
• Monitor project implementation, construction progress, and contractor performance while maintaining required project records and documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and external partners involved in project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, technical standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Provide regular project status updates and recommendations to management regarding project progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.

You need to have:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, construction management, infrastructure projects, and/or design activities.
• Strong knowledge of procedures and legal regulations related to obtaining urban planning approvals, construction permits, and usage permits.
• Experience in telecommunications infrastructure projects, especially fiber-optic network projects, will be considered an advantage.
• Passed Professional State Exam in the field of civil engineering.
• Valid personal license for Design issued by the relevant authority.
• Valid personal license for Construction/Execution of Works.
• Valid Category B driver's license.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office package (especially Excel), and MS Project.
• Knowledge of GIS tools and structural calculation software is considered an advantage.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Fluent Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and good command of English language.
