DPM Metals Inc. is an international gold mining company engaged in the exploration and production of gold, headquartered in Canada, with operations and projects in Bulgaria, Ecuador, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Location: Vareš, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

About the Position

DPM Metals is seeking a Financial Planner and Analyst to join our Finance team in Vareš, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The role will support accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and capital expenditure monitoring across Vareš Operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational, project, HR, and finance teams to support sound financial planning, reliable reporting, budget alignment, expenditure control, and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end profit and loss variance analysis for their respective work areas, ensure month-end activities are performed accurately and within internal deadlines.

• Ensure physical quantities are entered into the appropriate systems in a timely and accurate manner.

• Prepare monthly DPM and Vareš Operations reporting packs for the assigned area, including variance analysis for mining, processing, or support services.

• Review actual expenditure for coding accuracy and correct accounting treatment, including operating versus capital expenditure.

• Support users in improving coding accuracy and identify system issues affecting financial reporting.

• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis for senior management and support financial system implementation and improvement projects.

• Lead the cost budgeting and forecast process for the assigned area and coordinate budget alignment with Operations, Projects, HR, and other teams.

• Assist operational teams in preparing Capital Expenditure Requests (CARs) and setting up approved projects in the accounting system.

• Monitor project expenditure and forecasts against approved budgets in cooperation with project teams.

• Support project close-out activities, including review of open orders and other financial housekeeping for completed projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting, with other relevant professional certifications considered an advantage.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar role

• Experience with monthly financial reporting and month-end closing activities.

• Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and variance analysis.

• Good understanding of cost coding and the accounting treatment of operating and capital expenditure.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively with Finance, Operations, Projects, HR, and other cross-functional teams.

• Good command of the English language.

• Good computer skills; experience with financial or accounting systems is considered an advantage.

• Advantages to be considered: exposure to balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, or audit support, as well as experience with capital expenditure monitoring or project budgeting.
