Opis posla

        - Accounting setup and ERP implementation: Establish accounting systems and processes, and actively participate in ERP rollout for the new subsidiary.
- Accounting operations: Oversee daily accounting activities including general ledger, A/P, A/R, inventory, fixed assets, and master data; manage month end and year end closing; ensure accuracy of financial data. 
- Financial reporting: Prepare monthly, annual and other periodical financial reports and information in line with IFRS, Group Accounting policy and local accounting standards; provide management with clear financial insights.
- Tax and statutory compliance: Ensure proper handling and filing of VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Audit coordination: Serve as the main contact for external auditors and ensure readiness for statutory audits.
- Internal controls: Implement and monitor financial controls; safeguard company assets; ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
- Budgeting & forecasting: Assist in planning processes.
- Group Finance alignment and assistance: Ensure local accounting practices, reporting, and controls are fully aligned with group-level finance processes; assist Treasury in cash flow monitoring and payment processing.
- Team leadership and Slovenian market overview – supervise and develop accounting staff; support for the financial operations in Slovenia and close partnership with local professional.

Uvjeti:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting / finance, with at least 3–5 years in a Chef accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and local accounting and tax regulations.
- Recognized accounting certification/licence is an advantage
- Proven experience in setting up accounting processes for new or growing businesses.
- Mandatory experience in ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in Croatian and English. Slovenian is an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Office, with focus on Excel
- FMCG industry experience is an advantage.

Benefiti:
The Chief Accountant will report directly to the Country Manager and work in close partnership with Group Finance, providing professional and proactive support on financial, tax and compliance matters. This role is responsible for establishing accounting systems, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards and local tax regulations, and acting as the key liaison with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisor. The Chief Accountant will also lead the accounting team, assist Treasury and support business operations with timely financial insights.
