Backend Development Team Lead (m/f)

        We’re growing Aircash Development in Split, and we’re looking for a Backend Development Team Lead to build the new backend team there. This is a role for someone who gets energy from people: you’ll hire, grow, and lead the team, help bring Aircash’s engineering culture, standards and ways of working to life in Split from day one, and stay actively involved in the code to guide the technical direction.

Split is a new Aircash Development location, not a separate engineering organization. Your team will work with the same standards, culture and ways of working as the rest of Aircash Development – one engineering organization, multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Backend (.NET) engineering team in Split, from day one
- Build the team: take part in hiring, run onboarding, and help new colleagues settle in and get productive fast
- Build a strong team culture around ownership, collaboration, feedback and engineering excellence, aligned with Aircash engineering principles and ways of working
- Turn agreed priorities into a clear technical delivery plan, keep delivery on track, surface risks early and remove blockers
- Work alongside the product team and QA to refine requirements and deliver features that exceed user expectations
- Guide technical decisions and architecture, aligned with Aircash-wide architecture and engineering standards, and set the bar for code quality through code reviews and constructive feedback
- Stay actively involved technically – contribute to design and implementation, review critical changes, and step into complex technical problems together with the team
- Keep an eye on system monitoring, logging, and performance so the team’s work stays reliable and observable
- Stay up to date with new technologies, concepts, and best practices, and bring them to the team

Uvjeti:
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing software engineers, and a genuine interest in helping people grow
- 5+ years of professional .NET development experience, with deep knowledge of .NET Core / .NET Framework
- Strong understanding of backend architecture patterns, microservices, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous processing
- Familiarity with distributed systems, messaging platforms (e.g. Azure Service Bus), and event-driven architectures
- Experience with relational databases (MSSQL) and ORM tools like Entity Framework (EF/EF Core)
- Understanding of observability concepts (logging, tracing, metrics) and tools like New Relic, Seq, or similar
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
